Great book

I've read the book when I was much younger when I was quite fond of the cartoon and the idea of sinbad having a son who's more adventurous was appealing to me. Turns out Eyad is more cultivated than his father better traveled and far more cultured.
As an adult I recommend it not just for the adventure or the nostalgia of a beloved childhood character but for the Arabic grammar. I think often times when we read a book of a particular genre we are looking for enjoyment or to unwind. Sometimes a book goes far beyond.
Having purchased some books recently for the kids I noticed the poor grammar, terrible syntax and lack of a moral agenda almost makes me feel that this book and books of its nature should be made mandatory in school. Whether to converts trying to learn Arabic or expats wanting to keep up with their language and sense of adventure.
